On November 3rd, the Conway Area Lions presented the town of Bartlett with our second bench made from recycled plastic through NexTrex's recycling program. In the front row (L-R) is Joe Yahna- Principle at the Josiah Bartlett School, Lion Cheryl Merrill and Lion Chris Russian. In the back row (L-R) is Lion John Rafferty, Lion Tom Merrill, Lion Charlie Ramsdell, Lion Dana Russian, Bartlett Selectwoman Vicki Garland and Selectman Gene Chandler.
On Thursday Nov. 18th, members of our club gathered at the Settler's Green in North Conway to set up the Christmas Tree that we donated to the 6th Annual Festival of Trees sponsored by the Settler's Green. The Festival runs from Friday, November 26th until Saturday, December 4th. Admission to the Festival is $10 per person (under 12 are free), which includes 10 raffle tickets that you can place on the tree you would like to win. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased. 100% of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Carroll County RSVP's Meals on Wheels Delivery Program and Non-Emergency Transportation Program. Our Tree can be found in the "Children's Dreams" section.
